Rebecca has over 10 years’ experience within the field of youth justice, both in the statutory and voluntary sectors. Before joining the inspectorate, she managed placements for children entering custody and developed a transfer process in line with judicial reviews. Following this, she worked as a frontline practitioner and manager in a YOS before completing a masters on child and adolescent mental health. Alongside this, Rebecca led on the design and implementation of a trauma informed, hospital based youth work programme providing support for children and young adults who were involved in serious youth violence. With HMIP, she is the lead on rehabilitation and release planning and work across both the children’s and women’s inspection teams.
